Alan S. Goldsmith, MD, FACC, FSCAI

Dr. Alan Goldsmith is a native New Yorker. He did his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry. He then attended Medical School at the State University of New York at Downstate, where he graduated Cum Laude and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed both his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Barnes Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Goldsmith then completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has been licensed to practice medicine in Florida since 1989.

Dr. Goldsmith is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is Chief of Cardiology at Halifax Health.

Dr. Goldsmith  is the recipient of  a 2013 Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award.

His interests include reading, hiking, traveling and pistol shooting.
