Arrest Made in Homicide of 14-Year-Old Boy Who Died in January of Neglect

On Friday, February 9, Daytona Beach police arrested a suspect, Talia Nelson, on the charges of first-degree felony murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child. On January 1, Police said they responded to a call on Carolina Lake Drive and found an "obviously neglected" 14-year-old boy. After being taken to the hospital, the teen died. A medical examiner determined the teen's death was a homicide.
