The City of Daytona Beach is grappling with a cybersecurity breach after its official Facebook page was hacked. The city's Chief Information Officer, Hossam Reziqa, revealed that followers should refrain from engaging with any recent posts until further notice.

The Daytona Beach Police Department has already launched an investigation into the hack, collaborating closely with Meta, the parent company of Facebook, to restore the page to its original state. The joint investigation aims to identify the perpetrators behind the malicious attack and secure the page's data and functionality.

As a precautionary measure, the City of Daytona Beach urges all page followers not to provide personal information or passwords and not to click on any links if prompted until the issue is resolved.
