Daytona Beach Fire Department is hosting a 20th-anniversary ceremony for September 11 terrorist attacks.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021, the Daytona Beach Fire Department will host a 20th-anniversary ceremony to remember those who lost their lives 20 years ago during the terrorist attacks that took place in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.

According to a release, this free public event will feature speakers such as Mayor Henry, City Manager Deric Feacher, Deputy City Manager and Fire Chief Dru Driscoll, and Police Chief Jakari Young.

The Daytona Beach Fire Department Honor Guard will present the colors and perform a traditional bell-ringing ceremony at Fire Station #1, off S. Beach Street starting at 9 a.m.

Event parking will be at the Fire Station parking lot, with street parking available on Beach Street and Orange Avenue. All parking will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
