The City of Daytona Beach has announced that it is starting a non-competitive swim league that will meet twice a week at the Cypress Aquatic Center off George W. Engram Boulevard in Daytona Beach. The goal of the swim league is to focus on endurance, strength, dives, turns, and more.

According to a release, swimmers must be at least seven years old and swim front crawl and backstroke (twenty-five yards) to participate. Practices are from 6 to 7 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday at Cypress Aquatic Center.

There is a fee of $40 per month for participants; however, financial scholarships are available.
