Police searching for suspect who fatally shot teen in Daytona Beach.

The Daytona Beach Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal shooting as 16-year-old Fredrick Cooper III. Cooper was shot multiple times near the 400 block of Hudson Street in Daytona Beach Wednesday night just before 10 p.m. 

When officers arrived on the scene, Cooper was lying on the sidewalk unresponsive and was rushed to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach but tragically succumbed to his injuries.

According to the police, no suspects are in police custody, and the investigation is ongoing. A witness at the scene told officers that they observed a juvenile black male wearing all black run through an empty lot across the street from where the incident occurred.
