Summer Midtown Music concert series underway.

The City of Daytona Beach’s sponsored Midtown Music Concert Series continues Saturday, July 10, at Daisy Stocking Park with a performance by The Love Band beginning at 7 p.m.

According to a release, the Love Band originated on the campus of Bethune-Cookman University. Its members are former students who love to perform for those who love to dance. The band has taken the stage in the Bahamas, at NASCAR events, music festivals, private galas, colleges, universities, and countless private parties. 

The performance is part of the free summer concert series, bringing the best local bands to the area. Food and drink vendors will be onsite, and attendees can bring chairs; however, coolers will not be permitted at the event. 

Upcoming performances from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday evenings include: 

• Saturday, August 14 - Daphne Cooper and Dante’s Pride Musicians
• Saturday, September 11 - Flo Logan and Lois Williams
• Saturday, September 25 - The Chris Clarke Jazz Trio
