The city of Daytona Beach is promoting its City Hall Selfie Day. It’s a day where residents can show their civic spirit, by participating in taking a selfie photo at City Hill located on Ridgewood Ave., or at any city-owned park. Special Facebook story filters can be accessed from the City’s Facebook page.
When taking a selfie, city officials want residents to make sure to adhere to social distancing guidelines and the city’s requirement to wear a face mask while indoors and social distancing measures can’t be achieved.
Residents should send their selfies to the city via Facebook Direct Message by Wednesday, August 12. Submitted photos will be posted to Facebook on Thursday, August 13, to see which photo is a “fan favorite.”
The favorite photo will be announced Friday, August 14.
A list of city parks and leisure facilities can be found at
www.codb.us, under the “Leisure Services” tab (which is located under “Departments”).
