1972

The Trike Shop offers its first Volkswagen powered trike kit. Its simple, solid design and unique style make it a success.

1970's

Riders from coast to coast spread the word about our trikes' durability, value, and performance as Trike Shop Trikes become widely popular with all kinds of riders.

1980's

Trike enthusiasts are looking for more from their machines and The Trike Shop gives it to them by introducing a completely new line of touring trikes. Dick and Helen Lindholm have the vision of a more touring oriented trike. They begin to make the trikes more luxurious, offer greater storage, stereo systems, automatic transmissions and give riders the choice of crossing the country or simply running to the store. The Trike Shop Touring Trikes quickly become the standard.

1990's

Not content with being the best, The Trike Shop talks with hundreds of customers as part of a massive effort to determine what works, what could be improved, and what more riders want. We saw the beginning of the motorcycle trike conversions. We found that while most trike owners were very happy with their machines, there was room for improvement. The Trike Shop met this challenge by re-imagining everything from the ground up. Most complained about the rough ride the current conversions offered, and their installation was tricky at best. Also there were alot of maintenance and servicing issues.

The result is what we called The Ultimate Trike Conversion kit for Honda's. They featured:

  • Independent suspension and a longer wheelbase to ensure a smooth ride with exceptional control.

  • Our exclusive steering design lets you turn easier, for extended periods of time.

  • An auxiliary fuel tank on some models.

  • A spacious trunk is added with a large watertight door.

  • The entire kit is designed so the installation is simpler and faster and can be accomplished in only one to two days.

  • Low maintenance. No alignment adjustments.

  • Bulletproof automotive drive shaft.

2000's

The Trike Shop continues to be an industry leader and is constantly looking for ways to improve our machines and add excitement to the road. Just wait until you see what we ’re working on next…
