Volusia County SWAT Training in Ponce Inlet Wednesday, August 19 and August 26.

The Town of Ponce Inlet has been notified that a resident will be offering their home up to the Volusia County SWAT Team for training purposes.

Town Officials want residents to be aware of numerous Volusia County Sheriff patrol cars and deputies wearing camouflage and tactical gear in the area. Residents may also hear yelling, banging, or simulated gunfire.

The Ponce Inlet Police Department is not participating in these exercises but will be available to answer any questions or concerns.

This training will take place at a home on Old Carriage Road on Wednesday, August 19th, and again on Wednesday, August 26th. The training hours are between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
