Volusia County’s Small Business Recovery and Resiliency Grant Goes Live Thursday, May 14, 2020.

Over the last month, the Volusia County Council has made tireless efforts to the battle the COVID-19 Pandemic, here in our community. During today’s COVID-19 Update meeting, council members unanimously passed the Small Business Recovery and Resiliency Grant.

 

The grant itself will be in the amount of $3,000.00 that will assist with small businesses with recovery and resiliency efforts incurred due to impacts of COVID-19. There has been $10 Million in CARES Act Funds that have been allocated for this grant, which will allow for 3,333 possible grants.

 

Small Businesses need to be located and licensed in the county/municipalities, have under 25 or less employees, in operation since December 2019, Have not received other grant or insurance funding, certify negative impact of at $3,000 or more due to COvid-19, Have a Brick and Mortar location in a commercial or industrial space, not a publicly traded or a subsidiary of a publicly traded company, and not be tax exempt.

 

The grant application will go live at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020, and can be found at https://www.volusiabusinessresources.com.
