The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County partnering with the County of Volusia has scheduled another COVID-19 vaccination event for individuals ages 65 or older, Thursday, January 7, and Friday, January 8. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dewey O. Boster Sports Complex, off of Saxon Boulevard in Deltona.

Only the Moderna vaccine will be provided at this site and will operate as a drive-up site.

This vaccination site will require appointments that must be made at volusiacountyc19deweyoboster.eventbrite.com.

The above website is the only website that residents can make appointments. Appointment opportunities listed on any other website or which request financial information are not valid. Due to limited capacity, individuals are encouraged not to arrive before their confirmed timeframe. Individuals without an appointment will not receive a vaccine.

Online registration will open at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 5. One thousand appointments will be available each day and are available in one-hour timeslots. Once a timeslot is full, appointments will no longer be available during that timeslot.

There is a maximum of two registrations per transaction. Individuals who are not able to access the internet via a computer, tablet, or telephone may call 866-345-0345 for assistance scheduling an appointment until registrations have reached capacity for this event. Calls will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Should appointments be affected by inclement weather, registrants will be informed in advance.

Vehicles must enter the site from Saxon Boulevard; left turns into the entrance will not be permitted. Vehicles must exit on Section Line Trail; no entry on Section Line Trail will be available.

The health department will return to this location in 28 days to offer the second dose to those who are due. Those who receive a vaccination Thursday or Friday should plan to return to the site in 28 days for their second dose.

Individuals may not report to a different site for their second dose. When returning to the site, only the second dose of the vaccine will be administered.

There is no charge for the vaccine. As the county continues to receive COVID-19 vaccines from the state, additional sites will be available on both the east and west sides of the county.

For questions specific to the Deltona testing event, call 866-345-0345 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For general questions regarding COVID-19 vaccinations, call the Florida Department of Health at
