First Step Shelter to Receive $160,000 Grant to Open a Fundraiser Position.

The Father’s Table Foundation, a private organization located in Sanford, has granted the First Step Shelter, Inc., a $160,000 grant to open up a Developmental Director position.

The goal of this new position will be to raise $700,000 in the first 18-months to assist with covering the annual budget of $1 Million and help the Executive Director Victoria Fahlberg with coming up with creative fun events, and fundraisers to gain more donations.

Dan Gilardi, the President of Father's Table, was the one to think about adding the new position to the Shelter, and the Board Members couldn't be more ecstatic.

The one-time grant will cover an $80,000 Salary plus benefits for the applicant. The First Step Shelter Board will be meeting later this afternoon to further discuss the grant and new position.
